This week’s challenge

I joined a FB group for writers in September. My purpose in joining the group was to learn more about writing and to get back to expressing myself in my blogs. It took several weeks for me to actually remember that I joined the group (although occasionally a post or two made it to my feed) and to get up nerve enough to take a step or two back to writing. As a result, I have started checking out the posts on a regular basis.

One of the favorite/frequent recommendations by the group leader is to write for 2 minutes whatever comes to mind each and every day. This is not an activity that I have had any success with in regard to meditation so I was reluctant to try it for writing. But, I did…this morning.

I was so surprised when the alarm sounded because I was in the midst of a flow of thoughts and hadn’t yet hit that “now what do I write” wall. I even thought that maybe I could try 5 minutes, but I am going to resist that at this time. I need to work on this being a daily activity before I increase the length!

Today is Wednesday and the leader had started this training on Monday, so I am a couple of days behind already. But…I am excited about reading the Day Two activity and trying it also. And…being a couple of days behind is not so bad. In fact it is nice to be feeling successful!
