Wow! I really have not kept up with my blog, as it has been, at least, a couple of months since I last wrote! As is usual, it is now fall with winter knocking at the door, and changes are in the air.
Nature, of course, is preparing for winter and rest. Leaves are turning and falling. Gardens are put to bed. Lawns are no longer growing and requiring much care. Squirrels and other animals are preparing to keep warm and have food for winter inactivity.
And, as I do each year, I get more reflective and think more about life and what I want it to be.
My blog about my life has taken me from my husband’s death to rediscovering my life as a single woman. I have journeyed through struggling with grief to learning how to do lawn care and garden things to trying out new hobbies. I have bought a trailer and ventured out on the road alone with little knowledge. I have tried new communities (Messianic Judaism to Leather). And through it all, I have begun to grow into a more mature person.
Last year, my New Year’s resolutions fell out of my consciousness, unlike most years in which I work on them all year.
So this year I am going to make quarterly resolutions. My categories are going to be taken from this list: new learnings I want to attain, habits I want to change or implement, travel goals, hobbies, improving my diet/health, living more in tune with the earth, spirituality, pushing my limits.
Another issue for me this year has been signing up for various things (freezer meals, photography courses) for which I pay and then never following through with the course. Or signing up for memberships that I then do not use like Lightroom, Adobe Creative Cloud, RV Trip Wizard, etc. I want to re-think those and do something about them.
So changes are in the air…or at least the potential for them.
