The Shed

I am not a tool-handy gal. I am doing well to even know what the tool does much less what it is or how to use it. But, I want to tackle the shed.

One side of the shed was used by the original owner for his business. He has a drafting desk in there that is built-in. The problem for me is I will not used it, and it is right under the installed cabinet, which makes it hard for me to reach and use the storage there. Ed used this office as his indoor smoking area, exercise area (at least storage of the equipment) and gardening (starting of new plants). Currently all the exercise equipment is gone. Most of the gardening stuff also is gone – at least all the seeds and stuff. There are still things to clean out…and I want to re-imagine the area.

I would like to find a use for it for myself as well as for any business BnB guests I might have. It is carpeted, has a window, an air-conditioner/heater system, a dorm refrig for drinks, an overhead light and an air filter for smokers. I would like to add a comfy chair, a lamp, and, a small desk/chair for a laptop. I need to find out if my wi-fi is accessible from there.

But, first, I need to get that drafting table out of there.

The other side of the shed is not finished. It has a panel or two of insulation installed but no sheetrock walls. It has an overhead light but no other lighting. No window. No ventilation. It serves only as storage of tools. I would like to clean it out and organize the stuff that is in there, so that I know what is where and what I have. That is the only action I want to take right now. Maybe later I will consider finishing the walls and ventilation…maybe. Right now it is just cleaning and organizing that is on the To Do List.
